Claude Nobs, born on February 4, 1936, in Montreux, Switzerland, was a visionary music enthusiast whose passion and dedication left an indelible mark on the world of jazz and beyond.

Nobs is best known as the founder of the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival, one of the world's premier music events. His journey in music began at a young age, and in 1967, Nobs organized the first Montreux Jazz Festival, creating a platform that would become a mecca for musicians and fans alike.
